Our office staff works with more than 70 different insurances that cover our patients' health. Please be informed that it is your responsibility to understand what your insurance covers and what it doesn’t. Our office staff will assist you as much as we can so you can receive proper reimbursement.
Many factors affect the cost of healthcare. To help us minimize our staff costs, we would appreciate payment on the day of service. Should we bill you, the bill is due when you receive it. If you are unable to pay the bill, please contact our office staff, and a payment plan will be worked out.
Our Medical Services Include
Prescription Refills
- Medications are not prescribed over the telephone without evaluating the patient. Refills can only be called into the pharmacy for medications already prescribed and taken on an on-going basis, such as blood pressure or heart medication. Please request the refills 3-4 days before you take your last dose to allow the physician time to review your medical history.
- Any new symptoms or recurrence of old symptoms will require a thorough medical evaluation before medication is prescribed. Please schedule an appointment to see your physician.
HMO or PPO Patient Referrals
- Some medical insurances require a referral from your primary care physician. Referrals are made to physicians associated with Genesys. We cannot issue referrals after you have visited another doctor. If you feel you need medical care after hours for non-life-threatening emergencies, please contact your doctor at (810) 667-5500 for further advice or treatment. This will help to minimize any extra costs to you. If you have a life-threatening emergency, go to the nearest emergency room, or call 911.
